Wicked movie London premiere – Watch live | West End Theatre (2025)

The European premiere of the new movie version of Wicked is happening tonight in London!

Taking place at the Royal Festival Hall on London’s Southbank, expect plenty of celebrity green carpet arrivals, including all of the stars of the new Wicked movie.

You can watch the green carpet arrivals live on Universal Pictures UK’s YouTube channel, from 5:45pm GMT today, 18 November.

Wicked Part One is officially released in the UK, and worldwide, this Friday 22 November 2024; and the second part will come out next year, on 21 November 2025.

Wicked stars Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba and Ariana Grande as Glinda, alongside Jonathan Bailey (Richard II) as Fiyero, Ethan Slater as Boq, Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible, and Jeff Goldblum as the Wizard.

The cast also includes Andy Nyman (Hello, Dolly!, The Producers) as Governor Thropp, Marissa Bode as Nessarose, Bowen Yang as Pfannee, Bronwyn James as ShenShen, Keala Settle (Fly More Than You Fall) as Miss Coddle, Aaron Teoh as Avaric, Michael Carmichael as Nikidik, Peter Dinklage as Dr. Dillamond, Alice Fearn (Dear Evan Hansen) as Galinda’s mother, and Adam James(King Charles III) as Galinda’s father, plus Sharon D Clarke (The Importance of Being Earnest, Death of a Salesman), and Courtney Mae-Briggs (Back to the Future, Hamilton).

The soundtrack to the movie will also be released on the same day as the worldwide release, 22 November 2024, and feature the show’s famous songs including “Defying Gravity,” “Popular,” “Dancing Through Life,” “The Wizard And I” and more. The Wicked soundtrack is available to pre-order.

Universal has launched a HUGE marketing campaign for the movie, including a fabulous, 11 metre tall Wicked-themed Christmas tree in St. Pancras International station.

Wicked live on stage also continues to play at the Apollo Victoria Theatre in London.
